About the Mumbles Development Trust

Mumbles Development Trust (MDT) is a community organisation started in 1999 as a community initiative to promote active citizenship and self help community projects as a not for profit limited liability company with educational charitable aims.

MDT has a membership of over 100 individuals, community organisations and local businesses who actively support and initiate MDT’s programme of activities. Over the past eleven years, MDT has created and successfully raised funds to establish many projects that have made a real difference to the community.

We continue to recycle old Mobile Phones, stamps, batteries, inkjet cartridges, water filters and spectacles. The Recycle Point is at our Office, 4 Dunns Lane, Mumbles. Please continue to donate these unwanted items and together we can clean up our environment!

Join in the fun at the MDT

There are no limits to the different types of roles that are available around the MDT Projects. Whether it is in film, music, journalism, the arts, the countryside, engineering, administration or simply talking to people - whatever - there is something to do with the MDT. You will make fantastic friends and the reward of serving the community we know and love so well is priceless.

At the MDT we will help all we can in assisting our volunteers to reach their goals and quite possibly realise talents that you never knew you had. Above all, we want to see our volunteers enjoy themselves and get out of their efforts as much as they put in.

The Mumbles Development Trust involve 119 volunteers across all ten of its projects. With the introduction of new projects and More over the coming months the Mumbles Development Trust need to expand the amount of volunteers at the Mumbles Development Trust to approximately 291 people.

You can be part of this very exciting time in the development of our community. Whatever your interest there is a place for you here at the MDT or maybe you would like to start a project of your own?
